Before use, carry out a test on a small part of the area to be waxed. If there is no adverse reaction, continue using the product.
Pull the strip apart slowly to keep the wax even on both sides. Apply in the direction of hair growth, pull skin taut, and quickly pull strip off in the opposite direction to remove hair. After waxing, use post-wax cloth to clean skin and roll the Calming Serum over sensitive areas. The stainless steel tip eliminates the need for you to touch the skin directly. Don’t worry, each kit comes with easy to follow instructions (with pictures!) to make the process easier and a little less painful.
Benefits: Our first-to-the-US formula removes the finest, shortest, and spikiest of hairs (as short as 2 mm). Results last up to 4 weeks.
Ideal for: Most skin and all hair types.*
*Product is not suitable for elderly, diabetics, or people with circulatory problems. Do not use on irritated, wounded, chapped, sunburned, or swollen skin. Talk to your doctor if you are taking retinoids or are undergoing any treatment that may affect the skin, suffer from any skin-related conditions, or if you have experienced an adverse reaction to waxing in the past.

- Do not wax if you have delicate skin. This includes skin that’s thinned from aging. Do not wax over moles.
- Wait to wax if you have a skin irritation, like a sunburn or rash.
- Do not wax the same spot twice in 24 hours
- Wait to wax if you use a retinol or retinoid. These weaken the skin barrier and can make you more prone to wax irritation. If you use a prescription retinol, check with your doctor before waxing. If you use an over-the-counter retinol, taking a week off typically helps irritation.
- Wait to wax after chemical exfoliation treatments. These also weaken the skin barrier and can make you prone to irritation. Wait a few days (for things like scrubs and exfoliating face washes) to a week (for chemical peels) to let your skin heal before you wax.
- Watch out for products in your skin care routine that make skin sensitive Everyone’s skin reacts differently, but products that can cause sensitivity include alcohol based toners and anything containing ascorbic acid (watch out for serums and face scrubs containing Vitamin C!).
- Sarah1 week agoRated 2 out of 5 starsWax got stuck everywhere (and not the strip)
Instead of pulling the wax up with the strip when I pulled quickly, half the wax stayed on and became this awful mess that didn't remove hair and just stuck together. Thankfully there were enough cloths but based on this, I think I'll stick to removal creams and shaving.

You want to be sure to really massage the strip into your skin after applying (so your hair is fully embedded in the wax). When it's time to pull, make sure that your skin is held taut and that your movements are confident, and close to the skin. If it's still not working for you, definitely send us a note at help@shopflamingo.com and someone from our Customer Experience Team will get you taken care of.

A complete disappointment. The texture is too sticky and difficult to handle, even when following the instructions in the letter. When I removed it, it irritated my skin a lot, and did not remove all the hair.
I see all my skin in that area burn.
Was this helpful?FFlamingoYesterdaySo sorry to hear about your difficult waxing experience. I'd suggest examining the products you use in your skincare routine as retinols, chemical exfoliants and products that contain an alcohol base, or ascorbic acid (Vitamin C serums) can weaken the skin barrier and can make you more prone to wax irritation. If the product isn't working out for you, just send us a note at help@shopflamingo.com and we'll get you taken care of!

Was this helpful?FFlamingo1 month agoSorry to hear the wax strips aren't working for you yet. There definitely is a learning curve when using our soft-gel wax. As you are getting used to them, it is normal to not get all of the hair with your first pull - making sure to really massage the strip into your skin (so your hairs fully embed in the wax) is key to a successful wax. We recommend following our Wax Guide to make sure you are prepping your skin properly and to perfect your waxing technique: https://www.shopflamingo.com/pages/education/how-to-wax-your-face. If it's still not working for you, we do have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so just send us a note at help@shopflamingo.com and we'll get you taken care of right away!
