I bought these at target to try waxing my under arms, it was a very painful experience and didn’t work very well. I followed all the guidelines grew the hair to the exact length, avoided exfoliating a few days before, showered and waited the recommended time yeah it was still a incredibly painful process and didn’t work very well. I eventually gave up and still had much hair left over, but i want to protect my skin. Wouldn’t recommend.
FFlamingo6 days agoSo sorry to hear about your difficult first wax! Doing your underarms can be particularly tricky because you're going for it with only one arm. To get your skin super taut, try leaning against a wall with your arm raised above your head and pushing your hips away from the wall to really stretch your skin. You might also think about doing your underarms in sections. Underarm hair can grow in all different directions so waxing in different sections ensure you are always pulling hair from the opposite side. I purchased a starter kit awhile ago that included the razor, cream, lotion and wax strips. Try as I might I had no luck with the wax. They're sticky but that's about it. They don't hold enough to pull the hair out. They leave a sticky residue behind and that's about it.
FFlamingo23 seconds agoSorry to hear the Body Wax Kit isn't working for you yet! There can definitely be a learning curve when you're first getting started with wax strips. It's important to make sure your skin is completely clean and dry before applying the strips, and when removing them, pull quickly in one swift motion against the direction of hair growth while keeping the skin taut. The strips work best on hair that's about 1/4 inch long - too short and there's not enough for the wax to grip, too long and it can be more difficult to remove effectively. These strips work great! And often times I can get three good pulls off of one strip! I use them primarily on my legs which grow an incredible amount of hair. No wispy baby hairs here, sadly. The local pharmacy stopped carrying this brand and the replacement brand was so terribly scented and extra sticky I’m now here to order in bulk so I’m set for the summer.

The wax sticks to the hair….when I remove the strip nothing comes off and I’m stuck with a sticky armpit. I’ve followed the directions exactly. Do not waste your money.

You might also think about doing your underarms in sections. When it's time to pull, make sure that your skin is held taut and that your movements are quick, confident, and close to the skin.
