What To Expect After Face Waxing

Great job, you did it! Now let’s recover.

Expect Slight Irritation

It’s normal for your skin to be irritated for up to 24 hours after waxing. If you’re fair skinned, you’ll probably be a little red. Wait about 2 hours (or longer if you have sensitive skin) before working out, putting on makeup, or going into the sun.

Pro tip: wax at night or on a lazy weekend day with nowhere to be, so you don’t have to worry about any of that.

Don't touch!

Resist the urge to touch your freshly waxed skin and don’t let anyone/anything else touch it (i.e. your hair, a pillow, your dog, etc.). Waxing temporarily opens your pores and makes them more sensitive to breakout-causing dirt and bacteria.

Let Skin Breathe

Don’t overwhelm your skin—waxing, then using an exfoliant, then doing a face mask, then applying 3 serums, isn’t going to end well. Hair removal is a lot for it to handle and it needs time to recover. Remove excess wax, use the Calming Serum, and leave it alone.
