THE SHAVE GUIDE

KEEP YOUR BLADES IN SHAPE

Made with Swedish steel, our blades offer a close, smooth shave. They’re precise, sharp, and effective.

Learn how to care for your blades and it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out (awkward angles and all).

RAZOR CARE 101
HIGH AND DRY
  • Whether you shave in the shower, tub, or at the side of the sink, you’ll want to make sure your razor is stored in a dry place.
  • Metal + time + water = rust. Make sure to store your razor upright or with blades facing up so that any lingering water can easily evaporate.
  • Our shower hook is designed to keep your razor out of the splash zone — use it!
THE HOOKUP
  • Make sure the wall you’re adhering your shower hook to is clean. Textured tiles, soap scum, and dirt will all compromise its staying power.
  • Lick it, stick it, and hold it firmly in place for 20 seconds.
  • Give the shower hook a few minutes to bond with the wall before inserting your razor (a strong foundation is the key to a lot of things).
  • The suction cup may need to be “burped” periodically to release any trapped air. Give it a push, you know what a burp sounds like.
WHEN TO CHANGE YOUR BLADES
  • One cartridge typically lasts around two weeks, but if you’re an everyday shaver you might need to change it more frequently.
  • Additionally, if you feel any tugging or pulling, or you feel like hair isn’t easily washing out, it’s time for a new cartridge.
  • Our shave gel also helps soften hairs and makes for an even smoother, more comfortable shave.

Tips From Our Experts

SHAVE TIP #575

Be mindful of the pressure you apply — glide, never dig!

SHAVE TIP #625

Run water over the back of your blades to push out any leftover hairs or shave gel.

SHAVE TIP #370

Just because you’ve been shaving for years doesn’t mean you should rush it. Slow and steady, baby!

SHAVE TIP #141

Our Aloe Strip helps to soften skin, but it’s no replacement for Shave Gel.

SHAVE TIP #546

A dime sized drop of shave gel is enough. It grows as it foams, you’ll have enough for your shins!

SHAVE TIP #887

Take new blades out of their sanitary shells before you bring them into the bathroom so that they don’t trap moisture.

SHAVE TIP #514

If you need a little extra shower hook sticking power, try a dab of vaseline.
