How are you different from other brands in the market?

Why did you choose the name Flamingo?

How often should I change my blade cartridge?

Everyone’s hair growth and shaving routines are different, but we suggest changing your blade cartridge every 6-8 uses.
Is there lubricating strip on my blade cartridge?

Yes! Each blade cartridge includes a hydrating Aloe Vera strip for a comfortable shave.
Where are your razors and blade products made?
See More
All of our razor blades are made in the Harry’s factory in Germany, an almost one hundred year old company comprised of engineers who have been manufacturing some of the world’s finest blades for almost a century. The steel comes from Sweden.
Where on my body can I use Flamingo razors?

Flamingo razors are designed to give you a comfortable, smooth shave anywhere on your body. However, we don’t recommend that you use our blades for shaving your head.
Are your handles and blades compatible with other brands?

Flamingo blades are compatible with Harry's handles, and vice-versa.
How many blades are in your cartridges?

How should I store my blade to prevent rust?
See More
It’s best to store your razor upright, preferably in a dry place (hard to do in the bathroom, we know!). Our shower hooks, which are included in our Shave Set, can help.
Do I have to use Flamingo shave gel with my razor?
See More
No, though we’re big fans of our Foaming Shave Gel. It helps to hydrate skin and soften hairs for a smoother shave. It also helps keep your blades sharp longer.

How do I get my shower hook to stick in my shower?

Make sure that you choose a smooth, clean, dry surface. Glass and flat tiles work best. Rinse the cup with warm water, then shake off the excess and press the hook where you’d like your razor to live.
Can I use a Harry’s Blade on a Flamingo Handle?

You sure can.
How do I remove the blade from the handle?
See More
Hold the base of the handle with the Flamingo logo facing up. Pinch the left and right sides of the plastic, rigid connector below the handle with your thumb and forefinger. Slide that connector piece away from the handle. It should pop off easily.

What is a Flamingo wax kit?

Flamingo Wax Kits contain all the tools you need to wax at home, including soft-gel wax strips, and post-wax calming and soothing products.
What are the benefits of at home waxing?

We find our bathrooms to be a little more comfortable than a salon, plus you can wax when it’s convenient for you. Our soft gel formula grabs the shortest and spikiest of hairs, so you don’t have to wait to grow hair out before waxing.
How long will waxing last?

Waxing lasts for up to four weeks, depending on your hair growth.
What makes your wax strips different?
See More
We’re the first to bring our formula to the US. Our strips are ready-to-use and don’t require any warming. We’ve also designed a custom wavy edge on both ends for an easy grip when you’re ready to pull.
What is in your wax formula?

Our wax strips have no added fragrance, parabens, or artificial colors, and contain the following ingredients: Glyceryl Rosinate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Beeswax, Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate.
Is waxing appropriate for sensitive skin?

It can be! Everyone’s skin is different, so we recommend testing a small patch first to make sure you don’t experience irritation. Pro tips: avoid sunbathing for 24 hours before waxing, and wait 20 minutes after a hot shower.
How long does hair need to be when I wax?

Hair should be at least 1.5mm long. If you don’t happen to have a ruler around to measure your hair, that’s about the thickness of a quarter.
What should I do before I use the Flamingo Wax Kits?
See More
Take a break from creams with retinol (both over-the-counter and prescription), make sure your skin is clean and dry, and don’t exfoliate or sunbathe right before.
Which direction should I pull the wax from?
See More
Pull in the opposite direction of hair growth. For legs, this is towards your chest. To minimize the amount of tension on the skin, pull the wax strip parallel to your skin, rather than up.
Can I cut the wax strips?
See More
We don’t recommend it. Our wax is super soft and you’ll probably have a big mess on your hands (and scissors).
Can I use your wax strips for my bikini line?
See More
Our Body Wax strips are designed for larger surface areas, like legs, arms, and stomachs. We recommend using a Face Wax strip on your bikini line, for a more precise wax. *Remember, our wax strips are for external use only.
Can I reuse the wax strips?
See More
Each strip can be used for 2-4 pulls.
Can I reuse the post-wax cloths?
See More
Our post-wax cloths are not resealable, so they’re designed for single use. Each can be used on multiple parts of your body if you’re waxing more than one area at a time.
What should I do if I run out of post-wax cloths?

For additional post-wax cloths, you can contact the Flamingo team at help@shopflamingo.com. Don’t want to wait? Use a product with an oily base such as baby oil or coconut oil to remove excess wax.
How long after waxing can I put on clothing?
See More
You don’t have to wait to put clothing back on, but we suggest taking a beat to let your skin breathe (or putting something loose and breathable on).

How long will it take my order to arrive?

It can take about 5-8 business days, and you can always find your tracking info by visiting the Shipping Confirmation email that we send when your order ships. Friends in Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories: you may see shipment windows of up to 4 weeks.

We currently fulfill orders anywhere in the U.S., including overseas territories. We do not ship internationally at this time. Given current shipping regulations outside of our control, we cannot ship our foaming Shave Gel to APO/DPO/FPO.
Do you offer free shipping?

We’re excited to be offering free shipping on orders over $10. There’s a $3 shipping charge for orders under $10.
